Performance / Harvest Data Collection and Review

The Beef Connection retrieves feed and carcass performance data through a retained ownership program. These data are kept in the member's confidential and secure database and include feed efficiency ratios, hot carcass weight, quality grade, yield grade and overall carcass value. Through this process members know each animal's feed performance and carcass merit and, therefore, which are most profitable. Members can also see if their cattle were graded select, choice or prime and how that impacts their profit in dollars. This management method makes it possible for profits to rise by improving your herd through creating a more consistently uniform feeder calf each year.
